Calli is tall, willowy, and gorgeous. She has literally flawless conformation and an almost flawless personality to match. Easy to handle, cute all the time, and a firm barn favorite, Calli is a relaxing horse to be around when recovering from some of the wackiness of the others in this crop. She was bred to be fairly even tempered but classy, and that's exactly how Calli has turned out to be. Of course, like every horse, Calli does have her moments when she does get a bit crazy. Calli has an unholy love of storms and odd weather phenomenon. The worse the conditions outside, the more Calli wants to be out there and in the thick of things. She especially loves fog - probably because she blends right in and can scare the living daylights out of both horse and human alike. Calli plays nice with others, to a certain extent. While she's tolerant and enjoys a variety of circumstances and things, Calli can't stand horses who are overly pushy, social, annoying, or aggressive. Calli acts nice as can be and, oddly enough, expects other horses to have manners, too. The quickest way to this girl's bad side is to annoy her badly enough that she resorts to actually using her near seventeen hands of height to intimidate you into stopping. This isn't a puppy eyes kind of horse. Calli is nice enough to be around, but mind that you don't bother her too much. Calli is also a more introverted kind of horse; she doesn't mind others, but she prefers that there not be too many, thank you very much.
Leg Type: Front Runner
Calli is cool and cute as a cucumber on the track, a complete professional from start to finish. She never gives anybody problems, though you'd best not bother her during warm-up if you want her to stay that way. Calli has an intense sort of focus when on the track; you can literally feel her concentration and awareness of everything going on around her. A lover of the turf, Calli has a ground-eating stride that befits her height and class. A quick breaker, Calli loves nothing more than assuming command from the start. This is a horse who almost seems to fall into the lead and miraculously keep it throughout before drawing away at the end of a grueling classic race to still win by open lengths. Calli naturally gets faster as time goes on. A high cruising speed, healthy doses of class and stamina, and an unmatchable sense of gameness in the face of challenges forged Calli into a formidable foe. From start to finish, Calli is in command. Despite being such a nice horse, Calli doesn't let her niceness win over when it's time to dig down deep for that win. She's a horse who will fight to her utmost to deliver the victory, every time.
