Name: First Class Link To Page: hereSire: Passionate Class (Crowned Class Clown x Speedy Gonzalez) Dam: Once Upon A Dream (Merry Bay King x Liven The Dream) Notable Siblings Through Sire: Innocent Passion (G1), Passionate Flyer (G2), Miss Josephine (G5) Notable Siblings Through Dam: Dreaming Of Glory (G4) Pedigree Comments: Passionate Class was a Grade One racer, who happened to be quite the racer back in his day winning races such as the Unicorn Horn Colts, Unicorn Horn Classic (x2), Grade One Autumn Cup, Universal Cup, Little Miss Innocent Memorial Stakes, Breeders' Cup Mile, Breeders' Cup Turf, and the Caulfield Cup. Passionate Class was very consistent, only placing out of the money six times in his whole 56 race career. He's sired a Grade One winner (Innocent Passion), a Grade Two winner (Passionate Flyer), and a Grade Five winner on the verge of becoming Grade Four (Miss Josephine). Passionate Class's abilities on the track didn't go unnoticed, he received awards for 3yo Best Colt (Y6), Colt Of The Year (Y7), Best Turf Horse, and Best Older horse. Once Upon A Dream was a Grade One winner, with a record of 57-19-19-13, the mare only placed out of the money in six of her starts. Just like Passionate Class, Once Upon A Dream's accomplishments on the track didn't go unnoticed, she received the awards for Best 2yo Filly (Y6), and Best 3yo Filly (Y7). Some of her notable wins include the Dubai Filly Cup, Blue Grass Stakes, Unicorn Horn Turf, Summer Cup Turf, Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies, Eagle Cup, Alzea Cup, and the Flying Color Memorial Stakes. Once Upon A Dream has one other foal who is currently Grade Four (Dreaming of Glory) by Bank On Glory, in the colts last start he came in third in the middle jewel of the Triple Crown. First Class may not have a lot of siblings, but his bloodlines are phenomenal, and somewhat rare.

win Natural Selection place First Class show Like A Lady fourth Firefall
Natural Selection was the clear winner of this category. Though related to some horses who have done amazing things on dirt, it was all balanced out by the fact that those same horses have done amazing things on the turf too, and all of them are classic distance horses. This was a clear win here. The last three horses all had some significant dirt relations as well as turf relations. First Class took second because both dam and sire not only specialized over the turf, but his relations were the best. While Innocent Passion is more a sprinter/miler, the others listed were all classic. While Dreaming of Glory has more dirt accomplishments, these bloodlines SING to me with their turfness. Like A Lady took third because her turf relations were stronger than Firefall's. Ebony Gold Lady is a proven classic turf dam. While Firefall is sired by a good classic turf stallion, Like A Lady's relations were stronger.
The reserve to On To The Spotlight goes to Cavvy!
