Name: Winning Fire Link To Page: HereSire: Catching Fire [ Admiral's Revenge x All Smiles] Dam: Winning Touch [ Touch Up x Strike The Win] Notable Siblings Through Sire: G5 Hellfire, G5 FirefallNotable Siblings Through Dam: G5 Fire It UpPedigree Comments: Both of Winning Fire's parents are relatively new to the breeding shed; both of which their first batch of offspring just hit the tracks in Y15. This does not mean that they should be taken lightly. Catching Fire himself was known for him dominant, headstrong temperament on the track. Winning 14 of his 40 starts, his previous records went missing until they were recovered during his seven year old campaign. From when he was around two years old to six years old, he raced a total of 24 times on both dirt AND turf, and winning respectively on both. His seven year old season had him running steeplechases, which he won half of his starts. However, he only raced twice as an eight year old, but he dominated the track and won both of his two starts. Since retiring, his foals have been on the one to watch list, especially Grade Five filly, Hellfire, who has been steady in her two year old season. Her dam, Winning Touch, also retired a Grade One winner, with 13 wins in her 31 starts. Although her only win came from a HOTY race, she was extremely close to capturing the Kentucky Oaks, Acorn Stakes, Coaching Club American Oaks, Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, and the Breeders Cup F&M Sprint. This mare also performed exceptionally well on both dirt and turf, and proved her worth by winning on both surfaces. Her only other foal, Fire It Up, is taking a slower route in the G5 category, but no doubt will follow in his mother's footsteps. Winning Fire is her only other foal, and with the temperament of her father and the class of her mother, this filly will surely put a dent in the Y16 juvenile division.

Crooked Fire was a Grade One race horse with a record of 50-15-7-7, he wasn't the most consistent at 58%. Despite that he received a encouragement award in Y5. However, he's proven himself as a sire with three grade One racers. Native Harlot never raced, but she has produced a grade three runner by the name of Native Flame. He's now standing stud at witch creek stables where he's progressively becoming a sire to watch, with some of his notable foals being Fire Dancer, Indian Darling, and Van Guard. Ashes to Ashes currently stands at Witch Creek Stables as a stud. His record is 39-19-9-9, he only placed out of the money twice in his entire 39 race career. His most notable wins are in the Y12 Comet Cup, and the Y13 Cigar Mile. He received awards at The Wire, which include: Y12 TW Dirt Horse of the Year and Y12 TW Dirt Male of the Year. He has not yet produced any runners yet. Sweet Inferno is currently still racing at Stride Of Perfection Stables, her current record is 68-19-24-18. Her most notable wins are:Y12 Horseshoe Futurity, Y13 Belmont Stakes, Y13 Climax Cup, Y13 Winter Cup Grade Three Dirt, and the Y14 Spring Cup Grade Two Dirt, Y14 Bank On Silver Memorial Stakes, Y14 Donn Handicap, Y15 Unicorn Horn Dirt Classic, and Y15 BSD The Great Graduation Derby. Call Me Crooked currently runs for Grayson Meadows and hit G1 recently. She has a impressive record of 33-15-11-6. Her most notable wins to date is in the FTH Juvenile Turf Sprint, the Demosielle Stakes, Riley Allison Futurity, New Orleans Ladies Stakes, Top Speed Stakes, Spartan Stampede Dash, Oak Tree Sprint, and Girl's Festival. She is one of the leading contenders for the Sprinter Triple Crowns at the moment. win Winning Fire place Proletariat show Roussong fourth Roses Rampant
You want a close field to judge, this was it. Holy crap guys. I decided on Winning Fire for the victory here. Sire's filly just won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies and the lines back through Winning Touch were strong classic dirt. Proletariat was my original pick for the win - relations to horses through sire plus Native Flame to boot vote strongly for classic dirt. However, Crooked Fire has also sired Call Me Crooked...an excellent turf sprinter. Yeah, that knocked him just out of first in terms of classic dirt purity. Roussong was a narrow pick over Roses Rampant. Roussong has got strong lines through both sire and dam, but Mystical Melody ran her best races over the sprints (if memory serves) and won the Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Sprint at one time. Roses Rampant is related to horses that have produced everything if I've thought about it. The general tendency of the pedigree is classic dirt, but there are some odd horses in there too.
Congratulations to Cruisey on getting the reserve to Fire Dancer!
