Sired by one of the most influential Sires in the game and out of one of the best sprinting mares this game has to offer, Impassioned Blood is a regally bred filly. Her sire does orientate more towards dirt and distance not to mention he's sired a Triple Crown Winner and is the grandsire of Y14 Kentucky Derby Winner, Mourning Passion. Despite having more distance influence, Impassioned Wind has sired Tempered Passion who sired Mourning Passion, a horse who has proven himself over a mile distance. Streaks Of Passion has also proven himself over the mile distances. Furious Passion on the other hand has sired Calypsos Fury, a filly that has proven herself very efficiently over the mile distance and a little below or beyond it. So even though Impassioned Wind is very proven for more distance, he's also very proven at a mile not only through his progeny, but his grand progeny. Blood Of The Angel is quickly becoming one of the best sprinting mares out there. Unraced, but totally proven, she's the dam of two grade one winners and the highly regarded Siren Call and Hellfire. Her foals have won a great many races. Tears Of Blood is the winner of 12 HOTY and in his whole racing career he never once placed out of the money. Tears Of An Angel is a winner of half of her career starts and has won 16 HOTY races one of those is a Breeders' Cup win. Siren Call is chasing the Sprinter Triple Crowns at the moment and is one small win from Grade Two. Blood Of The Angel's ability to produce a miler is being proven through Hellfire, who most recently hit grade four status at the wire.

Impassioned Blood's proven parents scored the win, though Wayward Lass's parents were excellent racehorses and the combination is most certainly a good miler. The other three struck me as potentially better at much longer than a mile. Attack Apache seemed most likely to favor it, followed by Classy Lady and then Chetory.
Congrats to CC for winning the reserve to Trinity!
