JUSTA LITTLE CUTIE AND KRYSTAL YHATE FINAL CONQUEST AND CHRISTOPHER BLACK IMPRESS THE MOONLIGHT AND KYLIE SILVERSTAR
This would be interested. Amber waited for the next set to come out and did not know what to expect. These three weren't hers, weren't SOPS; they were from North Diamond Manor, year long leases. Yet her staff had met them and fallen in love. They were with SOPS for the year, and during that time they would probably come to love this trio. Amber was ready to love and let go, but that didn't make it easier. She sighed, settled onto her heels and waited for them to make their appearance. If anything, she intended to leave these three with great training and experience.
A loud neigh interrupted her thoughts. She looked up and realized that all three had shown up and were warming up around the track while she had been busy in her own brain. She grinned as she watched her jockeys work with the horses. Final Conquest had been the one who had neighed. Conrad, as he was called around the barn, was a tall bay packed with muscle. He knew how to move and looked like a real powerhouse as he soared over the turf. This would be his surface for the season, though he could handle the dirt as well. The four year old was an undercarder right now, though boy did they have plans to change that. The barn in general was actually fairly excited about him. He had a lot of class just waiting to be brought out...some sharp workouts would bring him up to the level they already thought him at.
On the surface, smaller bay filly shadowing the older stallion looked unimpressive. The barn knew better based on the gentle smile Krystal wore. This was Justa Little Cutie, daughter of Justa Muffin and One With Gold, hailed from SOPS lines on her damside, as her dam at one time had been an SOPS horse. She was a Foolish Entity descendant, and like Henna Turath with Forbidden Wings foals Krystal was just drawn to those types. Cutie was no different. She was well mannered and nice, shy at first sight, but boy was she a fighter. They had discovered this in workout number one. Time had passed since then and the juvenile filly had molded with Krystal as though they'd been life partners. She was in condition to make her first strides in a race and the excitement was palpable to see this pair do some damage.
The last horse on the track looked the moat at home. She was essentially a third-generation SOPS horse even though they didn't own her. Amber could see Impressario in the arrogance of her gallop, in the way she wheeled around on the turf like she was born to it. Her overt joy at running reminded Amber painfully of what it had been like to race Ario. But Moondance was there too, and that part of her was why Krystal would be the mare's rider this season. For the workout, Kylie would be riding, more of curiosity than anything else. Kylie had the light touch a horse like Lily needed, and she had been curious to run against her filly's half-sister. Pandora was a different horse from Lily, yet in a good way. Pan was unaware of what she had; Lily was all too aware. The arrogance was a bit...interesting. Kylie found it a bit scary, considering her underconfident self, but in a way Lily was nothing short of refreshing.
The minute these three wheeled into the workout, Amber leaned forward with even more eagerness. She had horses that raced against these horses, except for Cutie; she wanted to see them train over her SOPS turf. Moonlight had the graceful, powerful motion that she had seen trackside. The Turf Triple Tiara winner just knew how to move. She was a finely focused athlete, intent on the win and working hard during her workouts for love of the speed. Final Conquest was not far behind her. The big bay stallion easily kept pace, alluding to his hidden class. Against these two older behemoths, the unstarted Cutie was doubtlessly outclassed, but despite that she moved confidently behind them under Krystal's light urging. She would not be left behind during this mile jaunt.
The horses cut the turns perfectly and flew in synchronized rhythm up the backstretch. When asked for more, they responded, digging in. Lily threw down the gauntlet. The Impressario daughter glided away from the other two as though they were stationary, passing ahead of them by four lengths without any effort. It was impressive and it befit her stature. The two were game to the end, however, Cutie ghosting up to the outside of Conrad just before the wire. Overall...a fantastic trio. Year Sixteen for SOPS would only get better with these three on the roster.
