Imogen's sire was a competitive racehorse and her dam was a pure racing snob with class. Mixing the two has created a filly with a hard work drive, but also a hot-headed temper. She isn't averse to putting in the work, but if she is going to put in the discretionary effort on the tracks then she demands to be rewarded appropriately. Lord save you too if she doesn't think she's being rewarded appropriately. She has moments where she could care less about anyone or anything and then there's those days where she can only stand a select few. Moody and temperamental at times, you just need to be able to read her mood in order to know how to handle her for that day at any given time. That being said, for the most part she loves what she does while she's doing it.
She was fairly easy to train because most of her days she's usually eager to work and perform and she's good at it. So it's a nice little perpetual cycle that she feeds into and she just keeps performing better and better. She's always out to beat her last best and anyone else who tries to put her down.

Come race day she's a bright spot on the field. She carries herself with that high animated action, all full of life and just wishing for people to turn their eyes to her. She loads pretty well into the gate and breaks averagely, settling into the middle of the back or cruising in the back, depending on the field and her mood.
She loves the thrill of being in and amongst things or seeing to know what's going on and she'll bide her time, pushing forward with a powerful closing kick once she sees her window of opportunity. Once she goes....she goes.
