Lin was among the most hotly anticipated fillies of her crop; the crossing of two amazing classic dirt horses who SOPS personally raced throughout their careers couldn't help but cause excitement. Lin, however, seems immune to any and all excitement. The filly is tall, big boned, and calm like a mountain, always seeming to be softly slumbering and unaware of the world around her. For such a big horse, Lin is silent, though you may occasionally hear a quiet snore whenever the filly takes one of her frequent naps. Lin is the most relaxed horse in the barn. Nothing startles her or works her up; you can rely on her to be a stable rock in the midst of a storm. Attempt to disturb her, and Lin will fix you with a neutral brown eye and wait for you to go away and stop bothering her. Lin rarely needs to work to get others to leave her alone; one look from her eyes is enough to get horses to back off and humans to look for something else to do. Lin is not lazy, but efficient when it comes to being relaxed and calm. She enjoys running and doing what is asked of her, but she also has her limits; it's just that we know not to push those limits. Slow to develop due to her height and bulk, Lin is the kind of horse who looks more male than female and runs with the toughness of a colt. Every motion bleeds masculine power, which Lin harnesses by keeping contained the vast majority of the time. Lin is the kind of horse who just likes to be a horse. She likes her naps, she likes affection and treats, and she likes to go for long canters in the paddock to stretch her long legs out. Tight, confined spaces aren't good for this horse; she needs freedom and movement to be truly happy.
Leg Type: Mid Pack
Linnette is the kind of horse who could run forever if you asked her to. She takes to work with aplomb and always seems to require more - and longer - gallops with each passing day. The stamina monster is a gentle giant, easy to admire when she's on the track, though it does take her a little while longer to get moving and warmed up (hence why she's saddled up first and hits the track a minute or two before the other horses in a field). Loaded and set to go, it does take Lin a bit to get her legs under her once the gates do open, but within a furlong she settles in a spot around the back of the pack and lopes along comfortably. Though she doesn't stay as far off the pace as closers past, such as Infinite Warcry, she stays enough off that she can comfortably bide her time and enjoy the race. Once asked, though, Lin wakes right up, showing fire you never thought she would have as she unfurls her legs and sweeps for the lead. Lin is the kind of horse who may take a furlong to truly get moving once asked - a shake of the reins to wake her up, and then another shake to actually eke out every ounce of speed in her frame, but once asked she does go, and she puts her heart into every race she runs. Lin loves to run in full flight even if it takes a bit for her to get there, and once she hits the lead there really is no stopping this freight train from grabbing it and rolling away to win by five as other horses struggle or tire out behind her. Lin is the kind of horse who absolutely excels at the marathon distances, though at nine and ten furlongs her ability to get into the pace of the race is still potent and indisputable.
