/center][/div][/b][/font]Wish Upon A Star is a horse that vaguely reminds us of Moondance. She is a beautiful filly, and though her conformation is not completely perfect she carries herself with grace. Wish likes attention. She likes to have the eyes on her and then to put on a show when they do get on her. She realizes just how beautiful she is and she likes to take full advantage of the effect said beauty has. Wish is also a very affectionate filly. A simple stroke is enough to make her happy for a day, but she will gladly take more attention, though she is definitely not the type to require such attention in order to function. Wish is a confident filly. She has to be in order to maintain the attention she's always begging for. On the track, Wish is a very competitive horse. She gets right in the faces of her competition if she has to, and more than anything else Wish does not back down. It doesn't matter to her if she's facing a full field of males or if they're all bigger than her - their intimidation tactics won't work on her and she never, ever backs down from a challenge. Wish possesses mountains of stamina and is a filly truly suited to the classic distances. The longer the race, the stronger she will get. She is not the happiest horse at the start of a race, but the minute those gates open her jockey holds on for dear life. During a race, Wish is beyond focused. She's razor sharp and ready to go the minute she steps foot onto the dirt or turf tracks.
Leg Type: Preceder/Mid Pack
When the gates open, Wish breaks cleanly and takes a place just behind the front runners or leading the pack. She will stay in the place she has assumed for the majority of the race, only accelerating or decelerating depending on what occurs during the race itself. She has a lot of stamina, so if the pace is fast she is more than capable of maintaining a high speed for as long as she needs to before finally gunning it for the wire. She is responsive during a race, and will listen to commands to slow down, speed up or the like. She is one tough customer out there on the track, able to take any bumps or scrapes that are thrown her way. She will recover regally and continue her run down the track like a queen instead of throwing a hissy fit worthy of a princess. In fact, sometimes such contact actually makes her try harder, which makes her a prime candidate for rough-and-tumble races against the males. In the final few furlongs, Wish really begins to shine. With speed and stamina to spare, Wish throws everything she has into the race the minute she reaches the stretch. She is competitive enough to not give up in her fight for position, and she won't let go if she can help it once it has been attained. Wish responds best to driving down the stretch, not to the whip, so a whip is never carried when riding her.
