Basics
Horse Name: Trinity
YOB: Y12
Height: 15.3hh
Color: Bay
Gender: Female
Pedigree: The Immortal [Sea Biscut x Black Magic] x All Smiles [High Times x Attraction]
Trin is shy and quiet. She is definitely not a gregarious creature and prefers the company of the barn cat or a quiet companion to the whole pack of the yearling herd. She's slow to warm up to the presence of an unfamiliar human, preferring to keep her distance. Anything unfamiliar makes her spook, and the whole of the staff has become quite conditioned to keeping Trin under control when she has a freak out. Trin is most at home in the back of her stall or out in the paddock, but her one great weakness is her love for treats - especially carrots. Carrots alone will make Trin transcend her usual boundaries and seek contact with things she would ordinarily find undesirable. Trin is sweet and affectionate with those that she knows, and even becomes outgoing in situations she's comfortable in. Though she seems quiet and not much of a player off the track, Trin becomes a lot more highly strung on the track. The bases of her shy personality are still there, and she spooks and gets very worked up almost immediately on the track, but when she's in the gate and all is still Trin focuses on the task at hand. She becomes a lot less highly strung and a lot more responsive. Trin loves to run not to compete but just to run. This drives her during races.
Leg Type: Back of the Pack/Closer
Trin's jockey always makes sure Trin breaks to the back of the pack and acts as a closer throughout the race. This is a calming method designed to get Trin accustomed to the race during the first two furlongs. Once Trin has settled down a sufficient amount, then her rider focuses on the race and gets Trin to close gradually from the outside throughout the race. Trin's jockey must always consider track conditions when riding and must also consider things that would make the filly spook. Riding Trin is a tactical challenge but can also be immensely rewarding. After all, once the filly is in the clear in the stretch she closes like a freight train, and the true speed of this demure filly is put on display for all to see and admire.
