Sired by Grand Silence and out of Tamaraq, Sill has a lot to live up to. Her sire was a well respected racehorse on the track who won many great races and received an award for every year he ran in. He is the sire of Worldbreaker and Night Goddess, as well as upcoming Silent Fury. Her dam Tamaraq is the mother of Hail To Prince, Wabi Sabi and The Osakan Prince, all of which left their marks on the track. Hail To Prince is the sire of our own Royal Cadenza. Through her mixed and strong bloodlines, Sill inherited a love of both surfaces as well as miler to slight router distances. She also inherited her strong personality and will from her ancestors.
Sill is a very headstrong filly. On some days it's her way or no way, just like her sire. On days when she is not being headstrong or willful, however, she is demanding, whether it be for treats, exercise or just attention. And despite your wishes, you just can't resist her. She is a beautiful creature, with a rich bay color finely accented by her black points. Her eyes cry out with energy and enthusiasm, as well as petulant desire for attention. Or, on her headstrong days, they blaze with the fiery strength of her will. As well as being mentally strong, she is also physically strong. She can work alongside the colts easily, and can often be mistaken for one (especially on a headstrong day). Sill is the alpha, and she is always challenging others. Krystal, her rider, believes it to be an attempt to better herself, or just something to do. Unlike other dominant horses, however, Sill does not hold grudges easily, and bounces back if she loses a race. She accepts that she is not on top of the world; however, that doesn't stop her from occasionally acting as though she is.
Leg Type: Closer
Sill is a closer. This may come as a bit of a surprise, especially if you know of her willful personality, but she prefers to break at the back and then bide her time. She is unusually patient during her races, usually not making a move until the final half mile. Then, she slowly begins to move up and as the stretch approaches she begins to sprint, and all watching wonder where the heck she came from. She just magically appears and takes the lead, and tries her darnedest to keep herself there in front, where she is the alpha and the rest are following. There are some races where her patience snaps and she goes too early, but Krystal is learning just how to ride Sill so that the filly listens to her more on those days.
