"The silent hunter gets the prey."
Dara is the spitting image of her sire Stormin Passion. Both the horses share the same coal black coat and muscular legs. Dara's sire was a multiple stakes winner during his racing days and a jumper in retirement, which must be responsible for Dara's musculature. From Forbidden Wings, though, Dara has unearthly speed. Unlike her dam, who won the Breeder's Cup Distaff and proved that she's a classic distance horse, Dara has the makings and temperament of a sprinter. Now that she's three, she's also shown a proficiency for miler distances, and has raced and won beautifully at races ranging six to nine furlongs. She also won a Triple Tiara race at ten furlongs, proving she can handle that distance too. The dirt, however, is the only surface she will tolerate running on.
To be in Dara's presence is enthralling. She's a beautiful creature. Though a black horse, every particle of light in the air seems to be attracted to her coat, and the light makes her gleam like a night goddess sent from the moon. However, this is just by looks. She is, in fact, a very menacing horse. The aura surrounding her is filled with hushed menace, silent menace, the kind of menace that can be controlled but is threatening all the same. Dara, fitting in with the menacing aura, prefers to be quiet. She lets her body language show what she could just whinny, but she isn't a verbal horse. She likes to enforce her menace with silence, and moves quietly like a predator. This filly possess an extremely analytical mind, and she is also observant. Nothing gets past her, and she can predict the outcome of many things. This side of her is a new addition for her three year old season, and it's obviously a strong asset to her racing. When it comes to her human relationships, Dara has bonded closely with Henna Turath. Henna's attitude about racing and her mannerisms have inspired a change in Dara, and the two are climbing the steps to stardom. Unfortunately, Henna is the only friend Dara has. The filly has not taken any measures to be friendly with any other horses, seeing them as inferior to her quiet manner. One time we found her and Deadly Desires together, but the two fillies haven't been friends together since. This actually suits Dara just fine, as she prefers to be an independent creature. Dara has got a lot of courage, heart and determination, like every hunter needs to have. She's quite an amazing horse.
Leg Type: Front Runner
Dara sees racing as a tournament. She has to come out on top, or she gets very moody. Her racing style is dominantly the one of a front runner. She breaks quick as lightning and immediately takes the lead. If a horse comes to challenge her, she'll throw a glare their way and fight to get right back up to the lead. This can tire her out and cause for a bad place, but on the uncommon day when she listens to her jockey, she will slow some and take up a position directly behind. She never backs down, and that is one of her great weaknesses as well as an amazing strength. For some races, where there is a lot of speed, Dara adopts a mid packer style. She'll stay two to three lengths back from the lead and then rapidly close in for the win. When in a dead sprint, Dara is practically unbeatable. You can try to stop her, but you'll probably fail. Dara competes at her best in every race, but is usually spurred on the most to win when facing a game, competitive filly. Then she reaches deep down and rips across the dirt like wildfire. When she sprints, expect a cheetah to cross that wire first, with the prey following. She is a silent runner, a silent hunter, and she always fights back.
"All beauty, all radiance, all of it was attracted to her form. Feminine with a hint of menace, but silent menace, hushed menace. The kind of menace that could be controlled."
