Onya has true talent and a big spark. She constantly expresses herself, leaping around and joyfully racing horses all over. She doesn't care the surface or weather. She just wants to run. Onya seems to have inherited her dam's stamina and willingness to please but has a bit of the racing spirit from her dad. One thing's for sure about Onya; she isn't one to take nonsense from another. If she has to hear of it she'll stamp one hoof and glare with her big brown eyes, and that usually makes anyone, horse or human, back off. On the outside she looks a bit self-centered, but even try to challenge her and she'll take you down. Onya is a fluid mover, and she prefers to close from the outside on the final turn, but if ever the field gets too far ahead of her she'll forget her strategy, break through her rider's hold, and floor it to the wire. She still comes from the outside, though. Once Onya starts charging nothing can stop her, nothing can make her slow down. Onya has a huge grudge against her stablemate Impressario. At first it was just arrogance when she beat him in the workout 'Bold As Brass', but in 'I Will Beat You' Ario takes her down. Her rivalry with the other horse has spurred her determination. These days, if any black horse or any other horse for that matter threatens to beat her she will win. Through the course of her workouts her rider was switched from Amber Black to Krystal Yhate, and the two get on splendidly. Her past two seasons of racing have given her a lot of experience, and now she's looking to finally clinch the top spot instead of encouragement awards for her four year old season. When facing Ario these days, she is spurred on to new heights to try and take that win, as she still holds a grudge against him.
