Year Seventeen Best Miler Mare
Teri is at a level beyond crazy - she's downright insane. She was not named Hysteria for nothing. Teri makes a big deal out of everything - eating, being groomed, working out, racing. By a big deal, I mean that Teri is as loud as possible during the process, or as hard to control as possible. If you're trying to groom her, even if it happens every day, Teri will shift out of the way, not lift her hooves, do anything to complicate the process. When she's fed, Teri is very loud about it, munching happily on her grain and making a big fuss. She does not do anything in small degrees - either it is not done, or done in an overly exuberant way. We believe Teri does all of this for her own enjoyment and is perfectly capable of acting normal, but chooses not to because it's just much more fun to be abnormal. Teri loves to have fun and is always up for a game with anybody, horse or human or barn cat. She is a friendly horse, and while she will give you a tough time she doesn't necessarily dislike you. Teri is easy going and easy to handle once you get used to her antics. She loves to be taken care of and hates being ignored - what's the purpose of a performance if nobody is watching?
Leg Type: Front Runner or Closer
Teri does nothing by small degrees. The minute the gates open, Teri either breaks very well or not well at all. Typically, she breaks like a ball shot out of a cannon and immediately assumes a place at the front or at the back. Teri does not hover in the middle - she either stays at the very back or the very front. If at the front, Teri does not let any horse pass her. She will go as fast as she needs to go in order to maintain that lead. This is typically no problem for Teri, as she is blessed with a lot of stamina from her parentage and is typically able to stick it out at the front. If she breaks and heads to the back, Teri remains there for almost the entirety of the race. It is not until the stretch that Teri makes her bid for the lead. Teri goes from back to front in a matter of seconds. She accelerates like a bullet and just flies past the field to take the lead. She will then draw off until she hits the line. She does not stop until the wire is well behind her - only then does she slow down. If playing as a front runner, Teri accelerates to maintain her pace throughout and then throws down the gauntlet in the stretch. She goes as fast as she can go and doesn't let up no matter what style she is running.
