Basics
Horse Name: Athena's Desires
YOB: Y12
Height: 15hh
Color: Black
Gender: Female
Sire: HoF Pegasus Wings [HoF Royal Red Richard x BHoF Forbidden Wings]
Dam: HoF Deadly Desires [BHoF Sweet Sugar Cane x BHoF Requiem]
Year Thirteen Encouragement Award
Year Fourteen Encouragement Award
Year Sixteen Encouragement Award
Athena has inherited none of her sire's temperament. She's her dam through and through. Athena is cold, though not in an arrogant and superior way. It's just the way she is. She's quiet and intimidating for such a small horse. Though vocally quiet and stoic, her body language is very expressive. It doesn't take a person who spends lots of time with Athena ages to understand exactly what's going on with her. Athena's mood generally flatlines at stoic and menacing. She doesn't like to be messed with, and will resort to lashing out and biting if ever challenged.
Though she doesn't like to be messed with, Athena seems to enjoy messing with others. She's a bit of a bully. She likes to push around her paddock mates like a true alpha mare for no other reason than because she can. And when it comes to humans, Athena treats them like equines. She's a rough and tumble filly who's not afraid of acting like a colt to get what she wants. Similar to Lynara, what Athena wants she had best receive, or else there will be trouble. Athena is a cold creature, but she definitely harbors a racer's spirit. She loves to sprint, and sprint fast. She gets high on the speed and has crazy amounts of it. It's in her nature to want to win, win and win.
Leg Type: Front Runner
Athena is a straight-up front runner. She's one of the fastest breakers you'll ever see and sweeps straight to the lead no matter where she's breaking from. Her short legs power her forward as her sire's did and she's one of those front runners that just doesn't yield. She's bred for sprinting through and through, with the most influential sprinting lines embodied in her pedigree, and it shows. She's a talented sprinter. She goes right out there and doesn't give up. Others may challenge her or run with her on the lead but it doesn't matter to Athena. She's all speed and she's all about that lead. This is why she, similar to her sire, only runs five to seven furlongs. Any longer and she, despite the stubbornness and determination of her heart, will burn out. To Athena, her jockey is a sideshow. She's the main spotlight, and she requires no regulation out there on the track, where all she wants to do is run, and being interfered with does not end well to those that do.
