Ver is a strange one. Similar to his tall parents, Ver is big-boned, yet graceful. Unlike his parents, Ver actually cares about the world around him and notices his surroundings. Incognito tended to live in his own world; Dauntless only noticed the world when she wanted to bend it to her will; Ver is all too aware, and that can make him a bit of a jumpy horse. Ver has a nasty habit of reacting badly to situations that are actually all too familiar to him. We don't believe it is a matter of intelligence, but of habit. Ver tends to like to keep his humans on their toes and all too aware of his presence, just as he is aware of them. He may secretly be the most attention-hogging horse in his crop, and you never would have expected that from his parentage. Around other horses, Ver can be a bit of an annoyance. He'll either squeal and demand their attention, using bodily force if necessary, or ignore them. He is definitely an inconsistent horse with his personality, but when calm and focused on the task at hand, Ver can actually be one of the best horses to be around on the property.
Leg Type: Mid Pack
On the track, Ver seems to settle down for once, perhaps because there is so much going on around him. He will glide through the warm up and post parade, looking like a million bucks. He'll occasionally cause a fuss just for fun when loading into the gates, but once they open he is off and running. Ver is far too self aware to miss the break, but he tends to prefer hanging around mid pack for as long as he can get away with it. We believe he likes being in the thick of the action without being the one directing it - at least until the final quarter, which is when Ver kicks on for home and gives it all he's got. Racing is in his blood, and it is in the shadow of the wire that you truly see it. Ver gives winning everything he can and likes the feeling of attention in the winners' circle, even if he tries to act apathetic half the time outside of it.
