Blaze is not a homebred, but he is nonetheless much loved around the barn. Tall, gorgeous to look at, and armed with an almost cuddly personality, Blaze was a surprise. We didn't expect such a nicely mannered horse would survive among the nutcases in the crop. Blaze is named not for his attitude, but for his coat, which glows in the sunlight like living flame. Despite his height, Blaze is built lithely, his movements like liquid mercury. Despite not being all that muscular, Blaze is certainly blazingly fast. He is also surprisingly intelligent, and was probably among the easiest to train of his crop as he picked up on things so quickly. He also loves toys and cannot stay in his stall unless he has some to play with.

Blaze is happy to go wherever his jockey thinks is best during a race. He will settle up front, settle at the back, go in the middle - wherever is good. He is simply happy to be out there running. When asked to pick it up, pick it up he does, throwing his heart and will into the race to make his jockey happy and ensure a nice, good grooming session with plenty of toys and treats once he makes it back to the barn.
