Tern is a nutcase. Despite his heritage of wrath, fury, and self-centered, blue-blooded righteousness, Tern decided that he would inherit the crazy side of Forbidden Wings' legacy and be an absolutely hyperactive monster. If you're wondering which horse in the barn has enough energy to power the universe, it's Tern, along with more than a few of his relatives. Tern, though, is special because he is both curious and intelligent as well as hyperactive. His energy can get the better of him, but when it doesn't, Tern sticks his nose into absolutely everything. Is someone else breezing around the track? Tern wants to know who, and how, and why, and maybe join them. New surroundings? Tern refuses to do anything productive until he's seen every inch. Unfortunately, this does mean Tern needed to be taken regularly to each track during yearling training to see everything before he would train at any. While Tern can be a lot to handle, he is also very friendly and inquisitive, and almost the first horse to greet his humans whenever any come by.
Leg Type: Closer
Tern wants to see everything, all the time, and so he likes to hang out at the back of every race, looking at every horse until it is time to make his move. Thankfully for Tern, being a sprinter has its perks; it doesn't take long before it is time to roll. The black horse is easy enough to handle as long as he gets his way, and that means letting him bring up the rear during the post parade and warm ups as well as the race. No matter how fast the speed up front, Tern will track it from the back until asked. He is more reliant on his jockey than most to cue him, not having a single tactical bone in his body, so he will not run for it himself until he is told to. This means his jockey really needs to have awareness of the pace and the race stage in order to get him to victory. Thankfully, Kylie Silverstar is more than up for that challenge.
