Kappa is an interesting mare. She is oddly quiet, but headstrong when she wants to be; expressionless, except for when something truly offends her. She is prickly, like a cactus, and far from a cuddly mare. She tends to go through life emotionlessly, only occasionally perking up when something new enters her surroundings or someone offers her a treat. Similarly to her sire, any human who deals with her needs to be supremely confident and self-assured, or else she won't even notice them. She commands respect even though she pays little real attention to her surroundings most of the time. Kappa seems to exist in some inner world where outside interaction is a distraction from what she truly values. She sometimes seems to come alive when around other equines, though, perking up for some normal social interaction before regressing into her isolated, quiet state once more.

Kappa comes alive during a race. She'll be quiet and still as stone beforehand, barely seeming to notice anything even as she's loaded into the gate, but all of a sudden she'll come alive and become downright evil when the gates open. She'll break, find whoever it is that wants to be in the lead, and mercilessly track them for the whole race. If they go faster, so will she; if they go slower, she'll speed up and try to pressure them into picking it back up again. Merciless to the core, Kappa takes no prisoners out there, and almost seems to revel in the defeat of her foes as she picks them off with each passing furlong.
