Devil was the big, burly bully of the yearling pack. He is strong and he uses this strength to his advantage in the paddock, literally pushing all of the other yearlings around. His strength is coupled with a brute arrogance apparent in every fiber of his being. Devil is like the devil himself when he's surrounded by a crowd. He'll bully the colts and flirt with the fillies like he's the popular guy in school. He especially loves the fillies, and will go to the ends of the earth to impress them - including doing some truly stupid and reckless things. Devil tolerates the humans that tolerate his attitude. His attitude truly does get under the skin of some people, but not all. At his heart, Devil is fast as well as strong. He has the will to stay the routes and the indifferent focus on the track to not mind whatever surface or condition he's running on. All Devil cares about out there is the race, and he just loves to fly away when the time comes. In a few words, Devil is all style, passion, arrogance and brute strength - the epitome of a classic colt.
Leg Type: Pace Presser/Preceder
There is almost nothing Devil enjoys more than going out there on the track and giving his competitors a really rough time. He breaks like a rocket and tracks the leaders from the beginning. He will never directly lead the field even if he's the one predicted to take the lead. In fact, Devil avoids that lead for as long as he can. His favorite game is to see how hard he can push the front runner before he or she collapses or gives in. And even when they give in, Devil sticks with them, kindling hope where none exists, positively playing with them. He has the class and speed to gun the lead and go gate to wire, but that's not how Devil functions. He's very tactical and measured out on the track, and almost doesn't need a jockey to race effectively.
