On the outside, Demon seems like a regular colt. He is very arrogant and not afraid to show off the immense strength that he possesses. He likes to fight for his dominance using his teeth and hooves, so is usually kept separated from the other horses. On the inside, however, Demon is just as his barn name suggests - a demon. This inner personality is often not present, but when it does come out everybody around this boy gets ready for a fight. The foremost characteristic of this inner personality is rage. Demon acts like he's angry at the world and doesn't listen to anybody around them. He lashes out violently at the other horses, and sometimes even at the humans. To ride him when he's in demon mode is to go on the fastest ride you've ever been on. In demon mode, Demon is at his deadliest. He will not listen to you and certainly won't care what happens to you. He's just out for blood and speed. Rearing, bucking, biting - none of that is beneath him when he's in demon mode. He becomes enraged. Strangely enough, these fits of rage occur rarely and do not last very long. When not in demon mode, this colt is tolerable and sometimes even a welcome presence. He loves to sprint and will accept sprinting and listening to a rider. But when in demon mode, anything is capable of happening.
Leg Type: Stalker
Demon has a fast enough break to be a front runner, but that doesn't fly with this colt. He wants to be just behind the leaders but ahead of the pack so he can observe what's going on. He doesn't want to be the pace of the race, which he finds is usually short and sweet, but he doesn't want to be too far from the action, either. As time passes during a race, Demon builds his speed but doesn't show it. He prepares for a final sprint. Then, in the last furlong, Demon is fully unleashed, and rides a wave of power to the lead. His acceleration is one of the fastest we've ever seen and the speed at which his legs move is impressive. He truly becomes a speed demon as his sire was. The one thing you've got to watch out for with Demon is demon mode. If he gets into demon mode during a race, he is liable to take chunks out of the other horses' flesh. His jockey must get him on the outside and away from some horses. During demon mode, he is at his fastest and most competitive. Therefore, his jockey usually just tries to get him into the lead as quickly as possible and lets him widen the margin of his lead. Even if he enters demon mode a furlong into the race, his rider will let him have the lead and run away with it, so that the safety of others is not compromised.
