Touch And Go is a consummate professional now, but he wasn't always that way. Touch And Go is a limber, leggy colt with a sharp, intelligent eye and elegant head. He has his sire's flashy appearance and always seemed a bit of the hulk compared to his cohorts. It was often remarked that the colt was a tussler with his yearling friends, always playing a raging game of halter tag until his bulkier weight and stamina forced his opponent into submission. A mouthy colt, GoGo would be the first to snag a sleeve if someone lingered too closely and he wasn't above a good cow-kick when it came to getting his hooves picked--and that was after his stubbornness relented enough to lift his hind foot from the ground. Discussions definitely play out regarding his manners as even on his walks the colt isn't above rearing and playing at the end of the line. Patience is key with Touch And Go as there's just enough Touch Up in him that use of force could push him right over the edge. His high spirits and competitive nature always marked him as a horse to watch.
Leg Type: Preceder/Stalker
Once GoGo was started under saddle and moving at a forward pace, he started flashing signs that he could be a powerhouse. He'd dig deep into his gallops and workouts, really forcing his rider to counter the strength he applied to the bit and reins. GoGo moves low to the ground and impresses in his morning exercise as much as he does in the afternoons. The colt is a calculated runner out of the gate, breaking on top of the bell and bounding into stride so quickly that he almost always finds himself near the lead for the first hundred yards. His rider will pull him back off the pace if it's swift, but not enough to get in the brawny colt's way. GoGo makes his own racing luck with his quick breaks and keeps himself out of trouble and in the clear more frequently than not. He'll lope just off the front runner(s) in the second or third position if the pace is easy going or fourth or fifth, if swift. At the final turn, Touch And Go puts himself into the race with a big, roaring move that takes the wind out of the sails of those in front and behind him. Once in the lead, GoGo must be shown the stick to keep him engaged down the lane as he can drift about if no one runs with him. Should a horse give him a go, they'll find themselves locked in a demanding battle of iron will.
